Job Purpose/Function: (the main contribution of the function to the total organization.)As a Driver, regular and relief, your main focus is to correctly pack and deliver meals to clients in a safe and timely manner. To report significant changes in client's physical, emotional, or social conditions. Relief Drivers must be available on a "as needed" or "on call" basis. Major Responsibilities:Always drive in a safe and courteous manner remembering that you are a representative of LifeBridge Community Services.Anticipate the proper Ice Packs for usage.Pick up meals at the preparation site.Pack meals according to the daily packing lists provided. Alert office staff of changes in clients' statusDeliver meals to clients.Respect client confidentialityKeep accurate records of meal temperatures, gasoline purchases, vehicle inspections.Clean containers and vehicles dailyAlert Team Leader to vehicle maintenance needs; take van to service garage for maintenance.Attending driver meetings.Distribute materials and notices to clients as assigned.Cooperate with representatives from the State and Area Agency.Adhere to Agency policies and procedures.Treat all LifeBridge staff with respect and honesty and develop cooperative teamwork.Perform other duties as appointed by the Team Leader, Operations Manager and Program Director. The member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 + pounds. The members will have to travel locally by vehicle, as well as interact with clients. Required to be free from communicable diseases. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is typical of any residential setting/outpatient treatment facility and ranges from low to high. Frequent interaction with individuals in the program and community.
