Location:  New Paltz, NY
Pay:  $23-26/hour BOE
Job Type:  Full Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday - Friday starting between 4am and 5am with occasional weekends

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving .This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring timely delivery of goods. The Truck Driver will operate a 26 foot truck non CDL which includes a reefer and will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo.

Duties
  • Safely operate commercial vehicles
  • Load and unload freight according to company procedures and safety standards.
  • Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
  • Assist with manual transmission driving as required by specific routes or vehicle types.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a DOT card.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving with refrigerated trailers.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
  • Experience with loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
