Transdev drivers are the \"Ambassadors of Goodwill and First Impressions\", ensuring that safety is a priority and that the highest quality of customer care is provided to our customers.
A Transdev bus driver will transport our customers through city and freeway traffic in a safe and prudent manner, in accordance with all city, county, state and federal laws, as well as company rules and policies. Transdev bus drivers operate on an assigned route transporting passengers to and from designated locations and stops in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
Drive a transit bus and transport passengers safely, timely and efficiently
Greet passengers, accept fare payment, and maintain a safe environment
Properly report all incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns
Other duties as required to ensure a safe and courteous ride for our passengers
Physical Requirements Include Ability to:
Sit for extended periods of time
Lift, push, pull, and carry tools, objects, or equipment above shoulder level without assistance
Move up and down stairs easily
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Must be 21 years of age
Must have had a valid driver license for no less than one (1) year
Must have a valid California driver license and have the ability to obtain and maintain a commercial driver license
Must have a strong commitment to safety and customer service
Must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays
Will be required to submit to a criminal background check
Must present a state DMV report verifying a 36-month driving record without a serious moving violation (Some additional restrictions apply)
Must not have a DWI/DUI violation within the past seven (7) years
Must have the ability to pass a DOT physical including a drug test
