Drexel University's Facilities Management Department has an opening for a Commercial Driver position to provide transportation services on and between campuses.
This Driver will work Monday-Friday from 2PM-10PM.
Essential Functions
Operate passenger vehicles including 7-48 passenger vans and buses.
Operate maintenance equipment such as snowplow, truck, and forklift.
Inspect vehicles prior to use for fluids and all other safety requirements.
Maintain record log.
Drive, pick up and deliver materials, equipment, and other items.
Perform custodial duties as required in the garage and to maintain clean vehicles.
Assist grounds crew with snow removal.
Operate all equipment in a safe and courteous manner, complying with all traffic laws.
Cooperate with coworkers and treat them with respect. Provide service in a professional, courteous and pleasant manner.
Demonstrable ability to lift 25-50 pounds.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Valid Drivers License and a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) required.
Must maintain compliance with the Drexel University Motor Vehicle Operators Policy.
Must comply with all laws and regulations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, US Department of Transportation, and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, which includes controlled substances and alcohol testing, and medical examinations for Commercial Driver fitness.
Preferred Qualifications
Class "B" / "P" Passenger Endorsement / Air Brake Restrictions Lifted.

This is a Full-Time Union position classified as Non-Exempt. Benefits and compensation are based on the agreed Collective Bargaining Agreement for this position.
