Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 10:30 am or 2:30 pm - 6pm 

Pay rate: $15/ hr

Job Title: Patient Driver for Adult Day Care for Alzheimer's Patients

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate patient driver to transport Alzheimer's patients to our adult day care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely picking up patients from their homes and safely transporting them to the facility. As a patient driver, you will be responsible for ensuring that our patients arrive at the facility on time and in a comfortable and safe manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely pick up patients from their homes and transport them to the adult day care facility
• Assist patients with boarding and exiting the vehicle
• Ensure that patients are properly secured in their seats and have all necessary medical equipment with them
• Observe patients for any signs of discomfort or distress during transportation and respond appropriately
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, including regular maintenance and cleaning
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude when interacting with patients and their families
• Communicate effectively with the adult day care staff regarding patient transport schedules and any changes or concerns

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle and navigate various road conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening

Working Conditions: The patient driver for adult day care for Alzheimer's patients may work both indoors and outdoors, and will spend most of their time in the vehicle transporting patients. The position may require working early mornings and late afternoons to accommodate patient schedules.

Physical Requirements: The patient driver for adult day care for Alzheimer's patients must be able to lift and assist patients as needed, and must have the physical ability to safely operate a vehicle for extended periods of time.

This is a part-time position, with the potential for additional hours as needed. The hourly rate for this position will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
