Job Summary
The Driver Supervisor leads and supports the drivers assigned to the Rivian operation and is accountable for reliable load execution, driver productivity, attendance, schedule adherence, and appropriate staffing. This role ensures drivers understand and complete assigned loads safely and on time, maintains accurate work schedules and time-off coverage, monitors attendance and performance, and follows up on missed or delayed assignments. The Driver Supervisor also tracks DOT physical expiration dates, coordinates required random drug and alcohol testing, and ensures sufficient qualified driver coverage for weekday, weekend, holiday, and changing customer needs.

Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma, Associates or Bachelor's preferred
Two or more years of experience in transportation operations, driver supervision, fleet operations, or a related environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead drivers, coordinate schedules, manage attendance, provide coaching, and hold employees accountable to performance expectations.
Working knowledge of driver qualification requirements, DOT physical credential tracking, and company procedures for required drug and alcohol testing.
Ability to develop staffing plans that support weekday, weekend, holiday, and changing customer requirements.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate expectations and performance concerns clearly and professionally.
Proficiency with standard computer applications and the ability to maintain accurate schedules, attendance records, qualification files, and productivity reports.
Dependable attendance and schedule flexibility are required, including availability to support overtime, weekends, holidays, alternate shifts, and urgent staffing needs.
Related Experience
Previous supervisory or lead experience managing CDL drivers in a dedicated transportation, automotive, or high-volume customer operation.
Experience with driver scheduling, time-off administration, attendance management, staffing coverage, and documented performance coaching.
Experience tracking DOT physicals, driver qualification records, random drug and alcohol testing, and related compliance deadlines.
Experience reviewing driver productivity, utilization, on-time performance, and load-execution metrics to improve results.
Familiarity with Rivian site requirements, customer weekend staffing expectations, or just-in-time transportation operations is a plus.
