Responsibilities
Performs daily formal pre-trip inspections on all vehicles scheduled to be in service and completes requisite documentation.
Performs the following duties according to an established schedule, and as otherwise needed:
When serving as a Backup Driver:
Operates passenger vehicles to drive assigned transportation routes throughout the county, assisting client passengers as appropriate in a courteous and professional manner. Often loads and off-loads walking aids, e.g., canes, walkers, etc. and packages.
Ensures routes are consistently completed safely and on time. Remains in constant communication with Dispatch Office. Promptly reports and records deviations when necessary. Requests backup assistance when appropriate.
Maintains all required licenses, certifications and other training requirements.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent highly desirable. Must be able to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
Must possess work history with track record of successful customer service.
Minimum three (3) years driving experience required. Experience as a professional driver highly desirable.
Must be approved by our insurance underwriters to be insured as an STC Driver.
Must pass criminal background check prior to hire.
Must pass drug and alcohol tests prior to hire, and random tests thereafter.
Must pass physical exam as required by the Ohio Department of Transportation prior to hire.
