Responsible for delivery and patient education of prescribed oxygen, home health care equipment, and supplies to patients in their home, hospital, A.D.L.C., or nursing home.
Duties & Responsibilities:1. Assembles and delivers equipment, supplies, and completes paperwork in
accordance with D.O.T. and JCAHO guidelines.
2. Inservices/educates clients in the proper and safe use of medical equipment.
Performs home and environmental safety assessment. Explains and completes
appropriate paperwork.
3. Cleans, sanitizes, repairs, and records all returned equipment. Maintains delivery
vehicles with respect to cleanliness, inventory and minor preventive maintenance.
4. Performs quarterly, in home, oxygen preventative maintenance checks and safety
assessments. Addresses any patient concerns and verifies the patient is in
compliance with the physicians’ orders.
5. Performs both in home and in-house, equipment maintenance checks and documents
any repairs as needed.
6. Responsible to remain “on call” for emergency calls of oxygen/equipment on a
rotating basis.
7. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:A High School diploma or equivalent is required. A valid drivers license is also required.
