Driver

We need a Driver to join our team at The Advanced Therapy Center at Chesterwood Village. You’ll be responsible for providing transportation to our residents on a scheduled and non-scheduled basis. You’ll transport some terrific folks to things like doctor’s appointments and group outings.

CDL REQUIRED!

$15.50 - $19.00 Per Hour based on experience

You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Efficient and timely transportation allowing residents to leave and arrive at their appointments on schedule.
• Operating the bus safely and smoothly. Obeying posted speed limits. Avoiding quick starts/stops and sharp turns that may jostle passengers left or right.
• Carefully negotiating tight turns and avoiding situations where any tire may go over curbs.
• Using seat belts and turn signals.
• Ensuring that passengers have a seat and are properly seated before moving the vehicle.
• Avoiding the use of any distracting devices while operating the vehicle including cell phones, head phones, ear pods, etc.
• Limiting conversations with passengers while driving.
• Planning routes for safety and efficiency prior to leaving.
• Keeping the vehicle well maintained at all times. This includes refueling, checking fluids, taking the vehicle for service, and keeping the vehicle washed and clean as needed.
• Keeping an accurate vehicle log.
• Ensuring that residents are appropriately charged for transportation services.
• Assisting residents in and out of the vehicle using safe techniques.
• Assisting residents once they have arrived and while they are at their destination. This may including pushing wheelchair-bound residents during an outing and assisting the Activity Director as necessary.

You’ll Need to Have:

• A clean and neat appearance.
• A pleasant and courteous attitude.
• A professional demeanor when relating to residents, their families, and staff.
• The ability to remain calm and clear-headed in routine and emergency situations.
• The ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds.
• An Ohio Driver’s License with an unblemished driving record.
• A genuine love for helping people and a desire to make someone’s day.
