DRP Specialist

Overview:

The Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) Specialist supports the efficient and timely transportation and storage of finished goods across the T. Marzetti network. This role works closely with Logistics, End-to-End Planning, Manufacturing, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to help meet customer service goals and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 
 
This is an entry-level role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in supply chain and logistics. The Specialist will gain hands-on experience with transportation processes, systems, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities What You'll Do:

• Support the execution of distribution plans to move finished goods from production facilities to warehouses 
• Create and maintain Stock Transport Orders (STOs) in alignment with planning direction 
• Assist in shipment creation and carrier assignment to ensure timely movement of goods 
• Monitor shipments and help resolve exceptions or delays to maintain service levels 
• Review inventory availability and communicate potential gaps to the team 
• Partner with internal teams to help prioritize and track high-priority shipments 
• Maintain accurate data in systems such as SAP or Manhattan 
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and share recommendations with the team 

Qualifications What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 
• Internship or 0–2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field 
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
• Basic analytical skills with an interest in working with data 
• Effective communication and willingness to learn in a team environment 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or Manhattan is a plus
