Summary:

  • Location: Santa Rosa, CA
  • Shift hours: 12:00PM - 6:00PM Monday Tuesday

Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed testing personnel in the performance of screening tests in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Scan bottles and check data previously entered into the database from requisition forms.
  • Prepare aliquots of urine specimens for testing in a production laboratory.
  • Confirm labeling to determine further testing/storage.
  • Receive and sort specimens.
  • Read, understand, and follow written Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for proper maintenance and operation of drug manufacturing equipment.
  • Accurately weigh raw materials and active ingredients and combine them into a blend.
  • Keep the equipment and facility clean and in a state of good repair.
  • Participate in the completion of work orders, including batch record documentation per cGMP (current good manufacturing process).
  • Accurately follow and complete documentation with minimal errors or corrections.
  • Complete training, including cGMP and safety training, in a timely manner.
  • Work alone or in a team and follow procedures exactly.
  • Work under the supervision of the Supervisor and/or Screening Lab Tech Lead.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience using a computer and bar code scanner.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
  • Aliquoting experience.
  • Ability to work safely with biological specimens.
