Description Job Summary: Bongards' Creameries, a member owned coop, is looking for an energetic and dependable person to work in the Quality department and specialize in cleaning and testing of the dryers. The Dryer Sanitation person will be responsible for the overall cleaning in the dryers and packaging areas. This daytime position will have 8 hour shifts and will require working every other weekend. The pay for the Dryer Sanitation starts at $25.97 and goes up to $27.49. Bongards' offers a full range of Health, Vision, Dental, 401K and compensated time off. Job Duties: Cleaning of all dryers which includes but is not limited to the following: Sweeping, scrubbing of floors. Cleaning walls and doors. Performing clean equipment swabbing. Working with the Enviromap system for testing and vectoring. Following the master sanitation schedules and ensuring that items are being properly cleaned. Following direction of the quality leadership team as directed. Being able to work in warm areas for extended periods. Must report all food safety and quality concerns to their immediate supervisor or their designated replacement. All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person. Other requirements: Must demonstrate excellent communication skills. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, and other quality guidelines. Must be able to obtain/maintain a forklift certification including being able to operate a scissors lift. Able to work independently on all aspects of the job. Physical capabilities: Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 55 pounds. Must be able to lift and carry frequently 40 pounds. Exposure to high temperature areas of the plant with hours of physical activity. Willing and able to spend extended periods of time either standing.
