Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented drywall installer/finisher to handle a variety of residential and light commercial projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys flexible hours, working independently, and taking pride in high-quality finished work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hang, tape, mud, and finish drywall to a professional standard
- Patch and repair drywall (holes, water damage, texture matching)
- Match existing textures (orange peel, knockdown, smooth finish, etc.)
- Prepare surfaces for finishing, including sanding and smoothing
- Install corner bead and ensure clean, straight edges
- Protect surrounding areas using plastic, drop cloths, and masking
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members
- Ensure jobs are completed on schedule and to company standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing
- Ability to match textures and deliver paint-ready finishes
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable transportation capable of hauling tools and materials
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and clean driving record
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must pass a background check
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, pull, or move materials
- Ability to hang and finish drywall overhead and on ladders
- Climbing stairs and ladders using proper safety measures
- Bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and standing for extended periods
- Follow worksite safety and cleanliness protocols
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor job sites depending on project
- Exposure to dust, cold or hot weather, and humid conditions
- Moderate noise from tools and equipment
