About the Role:
Join Family Partners of Minnesota as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities. We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide support and assistance in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation.
- Support clients in developing and achieving personal goals and objectives.
- Implement individualized care plans and monitor progress regularly.
- Facilitate engaging recreational and social activities to promote community involvement.
- Document and report any changes in client behavior or health status.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Collaborate with team members and families to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience in the healthcare or social services field is a plus.
- Compassionate demeanor and a commitment to client-centered care.
- Must pass background checks and training requirements.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
