About the Role:
Amani Care Services in Mankato, MN is looking for a passionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join their caring team. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings
• Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
• Foster independence, dignity, and community inclusion for all individuals served
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States (valid work permit or employment authorization required)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license is required
• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check as required by Minnesota DHS
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient, and person-centered approach
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed
