    Job Description

DUAL-CERTIFIED PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER (PMHNP-BC + FNP OR PNP)

    Valrico, FL or Houston, TX · Part-Time or Full-Time · Hybrid · W-2 or 1099

    ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client, Prestige Health and Wellness, is a patient-centered practice for psychiatric, mental, and behavioral health care, enhanced by medical weight-loss support. Their mission is to deliver compassionate, comprehensive, and innovative care that empowers people to achieve lasting wellness, inside and out. The practice believes exceptional care starts with a supported, valued team, and their values are rooted in bringing humanity back to mental health.

    THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a dedicated, experienced Nurse Practitioner holding dual certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) plus either a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). This role can be based at either the Valrico, FL or Houston, TX location.

You'll provide high-quality psychiatric care in a flexible hybrid model: in-person for Spravato (esketamine) administration, medical weight-loss consultations, and select initial assessments, with telehealth for medication follow-ups and other appropriate ongoing care.

    • Part-time: typically 2 to 3 days per week, with a clear path to full-time for the right provider
    • Full-time: available for the right candidate
    • Balanced caseload: a thoughtful mix of 60-minute initial evaluations and 20- or 30-minute follow-ups

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Conduct thorough 60-minute initial psychiatric evaluations (assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning)
    • Provide focused 20- or 30-minute medication-management follow-ups
    • Administer and monitor Spravato (esketamine) therapy according to protocol
    • Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and the multidisciplinary team
    • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the practice's EHR
    • Educate patients and families on medications, diagnoses, and lifestyle strategies
    • Treat psychiatric, behavioral, and co-occurring conditions, including support for medical weight-loss patients
    • Participate in clinical case reviews and team meetings as needed

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    Required:

    • Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in the state where you'll practice: Florida (Valrico) or Texas (Houston); willingness to obtain the second state license is a strong plus
    • Dual certification: PMHNP-BC plus either FNP or PNP
    • Current DEA registration with authority to prescribe Schedule II to V medications in your state of practice
    • Demonstrated experience in psychiatric care, including psychopharmacology and medication management
    • Ability to work in person at the Valrico or Houston location for Spravato administration and select assessments
    • Ability to establish a collaborative practice agreement with a physician meeting state requirements, where applicable
    • Proficiency with EHR systems
    • Excellent clinical judgment and strong interpersonal skills

    Preferred:

    • Experience with Spravato/esketamine administration (training available for the right candidate)
    • Bilingual candidates (e.g., Spanish-speaking) are highly encouraged to apply

    COMPENSATION & WHAT'S OFFERED

    • Competitive compensation, negotiable and commensurate with experience and credentials
    • Employment structure flexible: W-2 employment or 1099 independent contractor, based on mutual fit
    • Significant schedule flexibility through the hybrid model
    • Specialized clinical exposure to Spravato therapy and integrated medical weight-loss care
    • Clear path from part-time to full-time
    • Benefits eligibility depends on employment classification and will be discussed during the interview process

    EQUAL OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT

Our client is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity and welcomes applicants of all backgrounds without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities during the application process.
