Dual Credit Biology Teacher
The position for a Dual Credit Biology Teacher will be available at East Central ISD for the 2026-2027 school year. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. POSITION FUNCTION/PURPOSE: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
Master's degree in the teaching discipline, or a Master's degree in any field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline, from an accredited institution.
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required endorsements - Secondary Science (6-12, 7-12, 8-12)
Prior experience teaching advanced course (preferred)
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
EQUIPMENT USED: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours. Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Frequent walking. Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment. Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and on-ambulatory students. Exposure to biological hazards.

SALARY: Based on Board-approved salary scale and Board-approved Dual Credit stipend structure for 2026-2027 school year
