Qualifications: Bilingual; fluent in Spanish, required Proof of Spanish proficiency via Spanish MTEL, WPT/OPI, or other pathway as approved in DESE Guidance for the Provision of Interpreters in the Education Setting (p. 7 and 8), required within the first year of employment Completion of the 2-hour online Language Ambassador Training Course, certificate required upon hire Bachelor's degree, preferred; Experience working with students at the early childhood level Experience working with English learners (ELs) Experience working with students with disabilities Whole classroom setting experience, preferred

Responsibilities: All classroom duties to be performed in Spanish: Strong organizational skills; Work collaboratively with the assigned Kindergarten teacher and other professionals in the classroom; Participate in professional learning opportunities as directed by building and district administration and the classroom teacher; Willingness to assist with bathrooming skills of Kindergarten students; Lead small groups and follow plans provided by the classroom teacher; Perform all duties and responsibilities related to a Kindergarten Classroom; Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher to create a supportive classroom that, as much as possible, aligns with current research in Dual Language Education and meets students'' individual needs, interests, and abilities.
