Dump Truck Driver

Dump Truck Driver Southwest Concrete Paving is an established concrete paving company specializing in military airfield construction across the western United States. We believe that teamwork and communication is the way to achieve these goals, and we seek like-minded individuals who want to become part of a successful team. The Class A Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting wet haul concrete from the onsite Batch Plant to the jobsite. Drivers will be exposed to different situations and equipment in performing their assigned task. Drivers are responsible for maintaining their assigned equipment. This position may include day or night shift work, overtime and weekend work. This position is local to Arizona but 100% Travel. PRIMARY DUTIESHaul Wet Haul Concrete using an End DumpConduct daily pre-trip inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, and oilTake pictures of questionable machine damage and report immediatelyEnsure all items transported are on the manifest accurate and error freeUse basic mechanical skills to perform minor maintenance on equipment as requiredComply with all DOT, state, and local traffic and highway laws, rules and regulations and safely operate all equipmentSafety, Safety, Safety comply with all DOT and company policies, procedures, and standards of safetyOperate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as requiredOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS:Must be at least 21 years oldAbility to pass a full background check required for military base site accessValid, Unrestricted Class B CDL Valid DOT Medical Examiner's CertificateAbility to pass a pre-employment drug testAbility to lift and move up to 50 poundsAcceptable MVR in accordance with Company Vehicle Program Policy EXPERIENCE:Basic Computer Skills Required (Email, Smart Phone, Excel)Must be proficient in operating manual (stick shift) transmissions, as all available equipment is manualExperience with hauling wet haul concrete preferred  Davis Bacon Rates on applicable projects. Southwest Concrete Paving is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are a drug-free work environment requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.
