The Position:
JOB SUMMARY
Leads the global strategy, business performance, and operational execution of all Line Maintenance Operations for Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) and its associated joint ventures, providing executive oversight and direction across the worldwide network of Maintenance Operation Centers. Ensures optimal deployment of resources to meet airline customer commitments, safety standards, and financial objectives. Accountable for building and sustaining a highly qualified global technical workforce with the knowledge, training, certifications, and licenses required to resolve in-service support needs across a growing portfolio of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) systems. Also responsible for designing technical service program offerings and negotiating customized technical support agreements that align customer expectations with Panasonic Avionics' commercial, operational, and long-term service capture objectives.
MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Operational and Strategic Leadership
- Set the global vision, strategic direction, and multi-year operating plan for Line Maintenance Operations within Panasonic Avionics' Panasonic Technical Services (PTS) business unit.
- Serve as the executive owner of the global Line Maintenance business, with full P&L accountability.
- Define and execute a global service delivery strategy that balances cost, quality, coverage, and customer experience, positioning PAC as the recognized leader in IFE and connectivity line maintenance.
- Lead and develop a global team through Directors and Managers to translate strategy into site-level execution plans, ensuring each Maintenance Operation Center meets its operational, contractual, and financial commitments.
- Own workforce strategy including organizational design, staffing plans, leadership development, talent pipeline, and succession planning for critical technical and management roles.
- Champion continuous improvement, lean operating principles, and digital
- enablement to elevate productivity, reduce cost per event, and improve service reliability across the global network.
- Drive strategic initiatives that strengthen how the organization engages with airline customers, suppliers, joint venture partners, and internal stakeholders, reinforcing PTS as the premier global provider of IFEC technical services.
- Establish, monitor, and continuously raise performance standards across all Maintenance Operation Centers, ensuring measurable improvement against KPIs in cost, efficiency, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure disciplined interaction with internal stakeholders so that Line Maintenance is a fully integrated element of the PAC customer experience.
- Deliver profitability, revenue, and margin commitments per the annual business plan and long-range plan.
- Global Planning and Oversight
- Define global capital investment strategy, including test equipment, tooling, facilities, and digital platforms required to support current and future service commitments.
- Continuously assess the market and PAC installed base to identify new service opportunities, capacity requirements, and network optimization opportunities.
- Determine the optimum and efficient global service footprint, including location strategy, service offerings, licensing model, capacity planning, and joint venture participation.
- Responsible for the annual and long-range business planning process for global Line Maintenance, ensuring alignment with corporate Mid-Term Plan objectives and disciplined execution within approved budgets.
- Design and mature the global logistics, spares positioning, and material flow model required to support high-availability line maintenance operations.
- Drive automation, AI/ML applications, digitization, and data-driven decision making across business metrics, workforce management, service delivery, and reporting.
- Compliance, Safety, and Quality
- Ensure all global Maintenance Operations are conducted in full compliance with EASA, CAA, FAA, and other applicable national aviation authority regulations.
- Serve as the executive sponsor for internal, customer, and regulatory audits, ensuring the organization is inspection-ready at all times.
- Own the global quality management framework for Line Maintenance, ensuring uniform application of standards, procedures, and continuous improvement discipline across all sites.
- Champion a strong safety culture and full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation across all regions of operation.
- Ensure consistent, disciplined execution of business processes in accordance with PAC policy, ethics, and internal control requirements.
- Serve as the Accountable Manager for regulatory approval.
- Organizational Leadership and Talent Management
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global leadership team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning for direct reports.
- Set clear expectations, cascade objectives, and hold leaders accountable for delivering department, regional, and enterprise-level goals.
- Foster an inclusive, high-engagement culture that attracts and retains top technical and leadership talent in a globally competitive MRO market.
- Model executive leadership behaviors and represent PAC Line Maintenance to airline customers, regulators, joint venture partners, industry associations, and internal executive audiences.

| - Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, capital planning, cost management, and contributing to P&L performance.
| - Proven ability to balance growth, cost discipline, operational efficiency, service reliability, and customer commitments across a global operating network.
| - Demonstrated experience improving operations, processes, and efficiency through cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement initiatives, lean operating principles, and digital enablement.
| - Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and align internal teams to deliver value through scalable, reliable, and commercially aligned technical service solutions.
| - Strong governance, risk, safety, quality, and compliance mindset, with the ability to serve as the accountable manager for regulatory compliance, inspection readiness, corrective action oversight, and sustained adherence to corporate governance expectations, internal controls, safety management practices, and applicable aviation authority standards.

The salary or hourly wage range of $277,000 – $370,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical degree (or equivalent). Graduate coursework desirable.

- 12 years’ experience in airline Maintenance and/or an Avionics repair shop environment.

- 10 years’ management experience with progressive responsibilities including multi-department or multi-site
|
- In-Flight Entertainment Experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- May require travel, up to 50% of the time to domestic and/or international locations.
