Dyslexia Therapist

The Dyslexia Therapist provides specialized educational support services for students. This role collaborates with educators, related service providers, and families to promote student success while complying with district, state, and federal requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based dyslexia intervention.
• Conduct literacy assessments.
• Develop individualized intervention plans.
• Monitor student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents.
• Participate in ARD/504 meetings.
• Maintain documentation.
• Support reading achievement.
• Ensure compliance with TEA guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Certifications

Bachelor's degree; Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Structured literacy training.
• School-based dyslexia intervention experience.
• Knowledge of TEA dyslexia handbook.
