Essential Responsibilities

This role is a contract Energy Efficiency / Energy Solutions Engineer supporting Demand Side Management (DSM) programs. The contractor performs the same work as full‐time engineers, serving as supplemental support while the organization evaluates long‐term staffing needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing energy efficiency calculations to estimate customer energy savings
Reviewing customer project submissions and determining data sufficiency
Creating analyses comparing proposed projects vs. baseline conditions
Supporting rebate determinations and customer incentive letters
Developing and maintaining calculators for prescriptive rebate programs
Acting as a technical resource for account managers, customers, and vendors
Supporting limited technology areas (e.g., cooling, heating, refrigeration, compressed air)

Strong technical/engineering aptitude
Ability to perform energy efficiency calculations
Problem‐solving skills in ambiguous situations
Experience with Excel (VBA) and/or Python
