Quality Control Engineer position responsible for implementing Xcel Energy's Quality Assurance / Quality Control program across generating plants (Coal, Gas, Renewables) within the MN region. Ensures that project construction meets established quality standards, safety requirements, code and environmental regulations, and customer expectations. Responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and improving processes to ensure specifications and standards are met and projects are successful.

This role is a Quality Control Engineer responsible for implementing Xcel Energy's quality program across generation (power plant) projects. The resource will support project execution by ensuring proper installation, startup, and commissioning of equipment to prevent rework and warranty issues. Responsibilities include participating in project reviews, inspections, quality plan development, and resolving installation or contractor quality issues.

Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred; Civil/Structural acceptable)
Quality control/quality assurance experience or certifications
Experience in power generation or industrial environments
