Job:  E-Commerce Fulfillment Associate
Location:  Newburgh, NY
Pay:  $18/hour
Job Type:  Full Time, Temp to Perm
Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm with occasional overtime


POSITION SUMMARY:

The E-commerce Warehouse Picker/Packer is responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from warehouse shelves and carefully packaging them for shipment. This role is crucial to ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products, directly impacting customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Order Picking:
  • Utilize handheld scanners or order sheets to locate and identify specific products according to customer orders.
  • Navigate the warehouse efficiently to retrieve items from designated locations (e.g., shelves, bins, racks).
  • Ensure accurate quantity and product verification against the order details.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy to minimize picking errors and customer returns.
  • Report any discrepancies in inventory or product damage immediately to a supervisor.
Order Packing:
  • Select appropriate packaging materials (boxes, poly bags, bubble wrap, void fill, etc.) based on product size, fragility, and shipping requirements.
  • Securely pack items to prevent damage during transit, utilizing proper cushioning and packing techniques.
  • Include necessary packing slips, invoices, promotional materials, or return labels as required.
  • Affix shipping labels accurately and legibly to packages.
  • Ensure all packages meet carrier specifications for weight and dimensions.
Quality Control & Efficiency:
  • Conduct a final quality check on picked and packed orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work efficiently to meet daily picking and packing quotas and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to optimize workflow and safety.
  • Identify and report any issues with inventory, equipment, or processes that may hinder efficiency.

Inventory & Warehouse Support:
  • Assist with receiving and stocking new inventory as needed.
  • Support cycle counting and inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, if certified).
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Equipment Operation (as applicable):
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other machinery required for moving products.
  • Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.

  • Available for extended hours during our peak holiday season that could involve additional overtime hours. i.e. Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas are all peak times for us.
  • Ability to work in an open warehouse environment, which could involve exposure to elements, such as varying temperatures and/or loud noises.
  • Ability to operate a dolly or pallet jack for unloading and moving supplies and equipment.
  • Able to lift 40+ pounds.
Required Education & Experience:
  • 3 years eCommerce fulfillment experience
  • Experience with shipping software is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
