The investigations unit (INV) of the EIJ VPU is seeking to recruit an Intake officer to support investigative activities into allegations of misconduct by WBG staff involving harassment, sexual harassment, conflicts of interest, retaliation, abuse of authority and misuse of Bank resources.

Unit Context: The EIJ VPU is seeking to recruit an ETC Intake Officer to work on the INV intake team, and who will report to the Manager, INV.

The incumbent will have overall responsibility for handling the initial assessment of allegations of misconduct, with the upmost quality, timeliness, and completeness and with the highest level of professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion. This role will be stationed at WBG Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Duties and accountabilities:

Under the supervision and overall guidance of the INV Manager, the ETC Intake Officer will carry out the following duties and accountabilities:

• Register, categorize, and track all allegations and their assessment as well as inquiries and responses in the case management system ensuring record keeping is timely and properly maintained.
• Timely manage and respond to incoming allegations of misconduct, assessing, analyzing and identifying the issues of each allegation.
• Interview complainants and collect from them and other sources additional information required to make an assessment of the allegation.
• Make verbal and written recommendations to the INV Manager for appropriate disposition and triaging of allegations (i.e. close at intake or open a preliminary inquiry; refer to another EIJ Service), suggesting, when applicable, appropriate lines of inquiry.
• Maintain optimal quality standards for the intake process ensuring compliance with INV's KPIs and service delivery standards for review and processing of allegations.
• May occasionally participate as a member of the investigation team, conducting fact finding (interviewing witnesses and obtaining/reviewing documents); drafting concise investigation reports to be submitted to the Vice President of Human Resources or case closing memos.
• Participate in the sharing of best practices, trends, knowledge and lessons learned across units and with clients and partners, articulating ideas verbally and in writing in a clear and compelling way across audiences of varied levels.
