QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and valid Wisconsin Teacher's certification for middle-level grades.
Alternative Education license or be eligible to attain the license preferred, but not required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Experience with online learning and the design of instruction in a learning management system including troubleshooting basic internet and platform problems.
Ability to differentiate instruction through a virtual environment and implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful virtual learning experiences.
Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
Assists in assessing, changing curricular needs, and offering plans for improvement in eAcademy.
Maintains effective and efficient record-keeping procedures as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis and maintains documentation of communications.
Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community. Maintain confidentiality of student records.
Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age groups.
Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and school counselors, and home school.
Participates in course management system training if needed.
Develop online lessons and assignments and ensure up-to-date and accurate online grade book.
Provide updates and ongoing communication to the Alternative Education and Online Coordinator.
Provide virtual field trip and outing opportunities for students.
Assist in maintaining curriculum and other needed supplies.
Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports, updates, and grades as required.
Maintain accurate assessment of daily work records of all students for attendance and reporting purposes.
Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
Respond to inquiries from pupils and parents or guardians of pupils by the end of the first school day following the day on which the inquiry was received.
Assist in the proctoring of State examinations for eAcademy students.
Assume all other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or district administrator or his/her designee and as required by law.
