    Description

    Job Title: Lead Power BI Developer
    Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite 3 days a week)
    Employment Type: Contract


    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
    • Manage and coordinate tasks with an offshore development team to ensure timely delivery of projects.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
    • Perform data modeling, data transformation, and data visualization tasks to create insightful and actionable BI reports.
    • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data in reports and dashboards.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and offshore team members.
    • Stay updated with the latest BI trends, tools, and best practices.
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with hands-on expertise in creating and managing BI reports and dashboards.
    • Strong experience in leading and coordinating offshore teams.
    • Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and other BI tools.
    • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and team members.
    • Ability to commute to the NiSource office in downtown Columbus 2 to 3 days a week.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in the utilities or energy sector.
    • Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.
    • Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
