Seasonal Ecological Site Cashier (Eagan)- Expected to End in November

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Seasonal Cashier at our Eagan RES Location to join our team! As an Ecological Site Cashier, you will play a key role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience while handling payments and assisting customers (residential & commercial) with their purchases. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while gaining valuable skills.

Seeking candidates that are able to work Weekend daytime hours and 1-2 evening shifts (3pm-6pm) during the week through November!

What You'll Do:

• Operate cash registers, scanners, and other electronics to process transactions.
• Sign up customers for our Preferred Customer Account and promote add-on sales.
• Ensure accurate pricing, quantities, and completion of transactions.
• Balance the cash register and generate reports for credit and debit sales.
• Process refunds and exchanges, addressing and resolving customer complaints.
• Bag or wrap purchases securely to ensure safe transport.
• Follow store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, and specific item purchases.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Provide helpful information to customers about products, promotions, or store locations.
• Keep the store and yard neat and organized.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, creating a shopping experience that leaves customers feeling inspired and eager to return.
• Work independently and as part of a team to solve problems, handle various customer types, and exercise good judgment.
• Assist with loading as needed and check inbound loads of yard waste.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Customer service or cashier experience preferred.
• Candidates must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to process transactions accurately and responsibly.
• High energy and strong customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• A helpful and courteous approach to resolving customer complaints.

Physical Requirements:

• Constantly moving, talking, hearing, reaching, and standing.
• Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
• Lifting up to 30 lbs, with occasional heavier items.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders may occasionally be required.
• Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
