We are partnering with a high growth company building generative foundation models for mechanical engineering. The company is developing AI systems capable of performing sophisticated engineering design work, going beyond traditional optimization and simulation.
The team has already shipped a groundbreaking 3D parametric CAD foundation model and is now advancing the next generation of its technology. This is an exceptional opportunity for a high-potential new graduate or early-career engineer who wants to work on difficult technical problems alongside a highly experienced team. What You'll Do
As an early-career engineer, you'll join as a generalist and take ownership of well-scoped technical projects, with the opportunity to expand your scope as you demonstrate impact.
Your work may include:
Building and maintaining geometry and data pipelines for CAD and engineering data
Parsing CAD data, converting formats, extracting features, and validating outputs
Developing evaluation harnesses and tooling to measure model performance
Supporting ML training runs and experiments
Instrumenting experiments, debugging failures, and turning results into actionable insights
Building internal tools that improve engineering and research velocity
Working across ML, geometry, graphics, data pipelines, evaluation, and internal infrastructure
Taking projects from initial design through implementation and deployment
Learning from experienced engineers and researchers while progressively taking on greater ownership
What We're Looking For:
0–2 years of experience, including internships and research experience
New graduates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply
A BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
Strong academic background from a highly competitive program
Significant internship or research experience at a high-caliber technology company, engineering organization, or research lab
Strong proficiency in Python and/or C/C++
Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments
Familiarity with Git and standard software development tools
Demonstrated ability to build and ship something beyond coursework
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to take ownership of challenging problems and drive projects through completion
