A leading middle-market or boutique investment bank may seek an Early Career Investment Banking Analyst to support transaction execution, financial modeling, and client deliverables. These roles provide structured professional development, hands-on deal experience, and exposure to multiple sectors for candidates new to investment banking.
Build and maintain financial models, including 3-statement projections, DCF, LBO, and accretion/dilution analyses
Conduct industry, company, and market research to support valuation and strategic recommendations
Support live M&A, capital markets, and restructuring engagements
Prepare pitch books, investment memoranda, and client presentations
Assist with due diligence, data room management, and deal execution tasks
Collaborate with senior bankers across client strategy and transaction workflows
Contribute to post-transaction analyses and reporting
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Foundational skills in financial modeling and valuation techniques
Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Prior internship or early-career experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, audit, or corporate finance is beneficial
