Family Health Centers, Inc. is seeking an Early Childhood Development Coordinator to support children ages 0-5 and their families through developmental screening, care coordination, family education, and community partnerships.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Family Health Centers, Inc. provides comprehensive healthcare services throughout rural South Carolina. This position supports our pediatric, behavioral health, school readiness, and early childhood development initiatives by helping children reach developmental milestones and connecting families with resources that promote healthy growth and learning.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate developmental screening activities for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.

  • Educate parents and caregivers on child development, school readiness, and healthy childhood growth.

  • Assist families in accessing community resources and support services.

  • Coordinate referrals to BabyNet, Early Intervention, Head Start, Early Head Start, behavioral health services, and specialty care providers.

  • Work closely with pediatric providers, nurses, behavioral health staff, schools, and community partners.

  • Track developmental screenings, referrals, and follow-up activities.

  • Participate in community outreach events, health fairs, and family engagement activities.

  • Support HRSA Early Childhood Development initiatives and program goals.

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and program documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Public Health, Human Services, Education, Nursing, or related field.

  • Experience working with children and families preferred.

  • Experience with Head Start, Early Head Start, BabyNet, school readiness programs, healthcare, or community services preferred.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

  • Valid South Carolina Driver's License.
