ABOUT THE POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Alexandria College is seeking an Early Childhood Education Adjunct Instructor for spring 2027, beginning January 11, 2027, who is prepared to deliver both on-campus theoretical instruction and hands-on learning experiences. The instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering instruction, preparing classroom environments, and developing and maintaining an inclusive curriculum. Additional duties include evaluating student work, maintaining accurate student records, fostering positive interactions with students and staff, recruiting and advising students, and supporting student success. The role also requires maintaining professional skills and credentials, participating in department committees and activities, engaging in ongoing professional development, and building and sustaining industry partnerships, all while demonstrating enthusiasm for preparing the next generation of early childhood educators.
Adjunct faculty members will be compensated at the rate of $1,400 - $1,600 per semester credit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirement
Bachelor Degree in education with 12 semester credits in early childhood education
Occupational Experience Requirement
Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience with children ages birth to eight years old.
