Early Childhood Education Director

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Education Director to lead our program, guide our staff, and ensure the highest quality of care and education for our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood development, regulatory compliance, and team leadership, as well as the ability to create a nurturing and structured environment for children under 5.

The Director will be responsible for overseeing curriculum planning, staff development, compliance with all Head Start and Early Intervention guidelines, and building strong partnerships with parents and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the early childhood center
• Lead curriculum planning and ensure alignment with standards and best practices
• Hire, train, and mentor staff to maintain high instructional quality
• Ensure compliance with Head Start, Early Intervention, and NY State regulations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families and community partners
• Manage budgets, resources, and program growth

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
• Teacher certification (required)
• Experience in Head Start or Early Intervention (required)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to foster a collaborative and nurturing work environment

Location: Williamsburg, NY

Type: Full-time preferred (9 AM–5 PM, flexible for 9–3 or 9–4)

Salary: $120,000–$140,000/year
