The position helps maintain consistent, high-quality care by supporting daily classroom routines, promoting a safe and nurturing learning environment in accordance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and agency policies. • Implement individualized learning strategies to support diverse needs, learning styles, and developmental levels of all children.
  • Conduct regular observations and assessments to document children’s progress, inform curriculum planning, and communicate development milestones with families.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with families by providing regular updates, hosting conferences, and encouraging family participation in program activities.
  • Promote and support an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment that values and respects diversity among children, families, and staff.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, reflective teaching practices, and continuous improvement efforts to stay current with NAEYC standards and early childhood education research. (Not applicable for a substitute role)
  • Ensure compliance with Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) licensing regulations and NAEYC accreditation criteria.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, specialists, and administrators to maintain a cohesive, high-quality early childhood education program.
  • Participate in required staff meetings, professional development sessions, and in-service training to enhance teaching effectiveness and program quality.
  • Maintain all program and Agency-required certifications and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the program
