Responsibilities
What You'll Do
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will provide hands-on care, instruction, and classroom leadership while supporting a collaborative, team-based learning model.
Classroom Leadership & Child Development
Provide direct supervision, guidance, and instruction for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Create a safe, nurturing environment and lead age-appropriate activities that support developmental growth through structured learning and play. Manage an assigned classroom within a pod structure under the guidance of the Faculty Pod Leader.
Curriculum & Learning Delivery
Plan and implement educational activities in both large and small group settings. Support developmentally appropriate practices that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Assessment & Documentation
Conduct developmental observations and assessments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including participation, progress, DCF requirements, and accreditation documentation.
Family Engagement & Communication
Build strong relationships with families through consistent communication about daily activities, developmental progress, and program updates. Assist with family conferences and participate in open houses and center tours for prospective families.
Team Collaboration & Program Support
Work closely with the Faculty Pod Leader and team members to ensure consistent program delivery. Support and mentor student staff, interns, and volunteers. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a connected, high-functioning team environment.
Professional Growth & Compliance
Complete required DCF training and actively participate in ongoing professional development, including workshops, conferences, and continuing education.

This is a Faculty position.
