Inspire. Nurture. Lead. The South Shore YMCA is looking for passionate, nurturing Teachers and Lead Teachers dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally enriching environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. This opening is at the South Shore YMCA Early Learning Center in Hanover, MA  a vibrant early childhood educational setting for children ages 6 weeks to 5+ years old.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Create & Implement: Develop engaging lesson plans that support children's physical, cognitive, and emotional development.
  • Nurture & Support: Foster strong relationships with children and families, keeping them informed of their progress.
  • Ensure Safety & Inclusion: Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment where every child feels valued.
  • Collaborate & Grow: Work with a team of educators to create a positive, cohesive classroom atmosphere.
  • Meet High Standards: Maintain compliance with EEC regulations, NAEYC best practices, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Teacher: Must hold EEC Teacher certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. 
  • Lead Teacher: Must hold EEC Lead Teacher certification through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
  • Knowledge of EEC regulations, QRIS Standards, and NAEYC best practices.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Classroom experience preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

  • This role requires the ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, reach, lift up to 25 lbs, and actively engage in activities such as climbing, running, and outdoor play.

Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time):

  • $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience and education.

Location & Shift:

  • Hanover Early Learning Center, Hanover, MA. 
  • Full-Time position, within the hours of 7:00 AM-5:30 PM. 
  • Open to flexible scheduling, with a total of 40 hours per week.
