Location: Minnetrista, MN

Assignment Dates: Start of School Year through December 18, 2026
Student Population: Birth to Age 3 (B-3) Early Childhood Special Education
Settings: In-Home Services, Child Care Programs, and Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE)

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher to provide maternity leave coverage through December 18, 2026. This full-time opportunity is ideal for educators who are passionate about supporting infants, toddlers, and young children with developmental delays and disabilities while partnering with families and early childhood providers.
Responsibilities

  • Provide Early Childhood Special Education services to children from birth through age 3 in home, childcare, and ECFE settings.

  • Conduct developmental assessments and help identify individual learning and support needs.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as appropriate.

  • Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, childcare providers, and multidisciplinary team members.

  • Deliver developmentally appropriate interventions that support communication, social-emotional, cognitive, adaptive, and motor skill development.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records.

  • Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and family-centered planning sessions.

  • Support successful transitions between early intervention and school-based services when needed.
Qualifications

  • Valid Minnesota Early Childhood Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for Minnesota licensure.

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children preferred.

  • Knowledge of child development, early intervention practices, and special education regulations.

  • Experience developing and implementing IFSPs and/or IEPs preferred.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Commitment to providing family-centered services and individualized support.
