Position Summary


The Early Childhood Teacher for the Infant–Toddler Program is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. This role supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through responsive caregiving and intentional curriculum implementation. The teacher collaborates with families and colleagues to ensure high-quality care aligned with program philosophy, licensing regulations, and best practices in early childhood education.



Key Responsibilities


Child Development & Curriculum


  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with established curriculum frameworks .
  • Support infants’ and toddlers’ learning through responsive interactions, sensory experiences, language-rich environments, and play-based exploration.
  • Observe, document, and assess children’s development to inform planning and communicate progress to families.
  • Create daily routines that promote security, independence, and consistency (feeding, diapering, napping, transitions).
Health, Safety & Supervision


  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
  • Follow all state licensing guidelines and program policies regarding supervision, sanitation, and health procedures.
  • Implement safe sleep practices, proper diapering/handwashing techniques, and emergency protocols.
  • Ensure appropriate ratios and constant visual supervision at all times.
