Early Childhood Teachers and Floater Teachers

Schedule: Typical shifts (7:30 AM- 5:00 PM) or (8 AM- 5:30 PM)
Our staff is expected to meet the highest of standards for best practices in the field of early childhood education and to uphold an environment and philosophy that supports diversity, acceptance, creativity and allows each child to grow and thrive as their authentic selves.
Our classrooms are co-taught; each primary Classroom Teacher in a pair shares equally in all aspects of communication with parents, daily activities, lesson planning, and observation, tracking and documentation. Classroom Teachers are assigned a single class of children for a complete program year (September - August), and support their growth and development through an individualized play-based, child-led curriculum designed in collaboration with the children themselves and several layers of teacher support systems that include a direct supervisor/coach, a lesson planning and training specialist, and the Center Director.
Teachers design and implement lesson plans each day that include small and large group experiences, sensory play and imaginative play, process art, and large and fine motor opportunities. Teachers also provide support for or meet meeting children's primary care needs such as diapering, toileting, eating, and hygiene. Staff has access to a large supply of resource materials and equipment, as well as direct support, training and coaching by experts in the field with almost 200 collective years of experience in Early Childhood Education.
Floater Teachers are an essential part of the Center, and are integrated into every aspect of the daily engagement with children and the operation of the center. Floater Teachers as assigned classrooms to cover Classroom Teacher scheduled days off and call outs, lunch and mental health breaks, and often get engage with children across the Center's age groups as they spend time in difference classrooms throughout the year, Floater Teachers are also often asked to fill long term absences in classroom, or to transition from Floater to Classroom Teacher to meet the Center's needs.
Our ideal candidate will have at least one year of Early Childhood Education experience, possess a CDA, or be currently enrolled in a college level degree program in ECE or a related field.
