Responsibilities:

Child Development & Care

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers.
  • Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum using Creative Curriculum.
  • Foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
  • Observe and assess children’s development to support their learning journey.

Family Support & Engagement

  • Partner with families to support children’s development and learning.
  • Share insights and guidance to help parents strengthen caregiving skills.
  • Communicate regularly with parents in a supportive and professional manner.

Team Collaboration

  • Assist in supervising assistant teachers, volunteers, and student interns.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, team-oriented environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and complete required trainings.

Program Support

  • Assist the Director with daily center operations, including classroom setup, materials, and organization.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-equipped learning environment.
  • Follow all Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and Children’s Friend policies and procedures.
  • Continue working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (if not already obtained).

Qualifications:
