The Office of Children’s Affairs (OCA) supports Denver Agencies, the community and its service providers in ensuring all children and youth have basic needs met, are ready for kindergarten and have the opportunity to succeed academically and professionally.
Current programs of OCA include the on-going development and implementation of strategies to increase access to nutritious food; high-quality childcare and afterschool programs; maternal and child mental health; early learning and literacy resources; youth transportation, mentorship, cultural experiences and pathways to post-secondary education and careers.

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The hiring range for this position is $90,000.00 - $105,000.00/year, based on experience and education.

Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field three days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.
Denver Great Kids Head Start (DGKHS) is hiring for an Early Head Start School Readiness Administrator. This Administrator reports to the Head Start Executive Director and is responsible for planning, coordination, consultation, evaluation, support, review, oversight and reporting on school readiness programs and
initiatives of DGKHS to achieve established educational targets as measured by children’s performance on Teaching Strategies Gold Child Outcomes assessments, and other indicators. The Early Head Start School Readiness Administrator serves as a technical consultant to the delegate agencies and demonstrates effective leadership, teaming and facilitation skills to engage partners in planning activities that result in goal advancement and increased child outcomes.
