Anderson Preparatory Academy Launch Pad is seeking a caring, dependable, and collaborative Assistant Teacher to support our child-centered preschool classrooms. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and creating meaningful learning experiences through exploration, creativity, and play.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities and routines
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Assist with classroom organization, cleaning, meals, and supervision
- Encourage children's curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (must be 18+)
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to meet all state licensing and background check requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and actively engage in classroom activities
- Flexible and dependable
