Early Learning Center Director:

The Early Learning Center Director is responsible for the daily operations of the assigned Early Learning Center program:

  • Plans, implements, and supervises the day-to-day operations of the program

  • Assures daily staffing follows state licensing regulations

  • Observes in early childhood classrooms a minimum of one day per week

  • Assists in planning and conducting four school age and early childhood events per year (i.e. parent group, picnics, and holiday parent/child activities)

  • Communicates regularly and clearly with program parents, staff and school personnel

  • Ensures implementation of lessons plans, assessments, curriculum for early childhood location

  • Is an Early Learning Internal Coach and ensures Early Learning tutors fulfill their responsibilities

  • Fiscally responsible, manages, maintains budget, checks bi-weekly billing for assigned locations

  • Checks site location's billing for accuracy and errors

  • Participates in the North Dakota quality rating programs

  • Are maintaining and monitoring program enrolling, assuring that the site is meeting budgeted numbers (ex: percentage full). And if not, that they are working to increase their enrollment by conducting program tours, periodic open houses and other promotional events

  • Ensures the sites are stocked with materials, program supplies and equipment

  • At least 21 years old AND

  • A bachelor's degree in the field of early childhood education with eight or more weeks of supervised student teaching experience in a preschool or similar setting OR

  • A bachelor's degree with at least six months of experience in a preschool or similar setting and one of the following: (1) Eight semester hours or twelve quarter hours of department-approved early childhood education or child development; (2) One hundred twenty hours of department-approved early childhood training; or (3) A director's credential approved by the department OR

  • An associate degree in the field of early childhood education or child development with at least six months of experience in a preschool or similar setting OR

  • An associate's degree with at least one year of experience in a preschool or similar setting and one of the following: (1) Eight semester hours or twelve quarter hours of department-approved early childhood education or child development; (2) One hundred twenty hours of department-approved early childhood training; or (3) A director's credential approved by the department OR

  • Current certification as a child development associate or similar status, with at least one year of experience in a preschool or similar setting OR

  • Certification from a Montessori teacher training program with at least one year of experience in a Montessori school, preschool, or similar setting

Shifts Needed:

Monday through Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm with varying hours based on needs
