Position Details
General Statement Great Falls College is seeking classroom teachers for our new Early Learning Center. Teachers are responsible for the overall management and instruction in the Early Learning Center. These positions plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment maintain compliance with licensing and program standards and build positive relationships with children and families. This position typically demands flexibility within center operating hours of 700am to 600pm Monday through Friday however occasional evening hours for meetings training or planning may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities • Create and maintain a safe engaging and inclusive learning environment. • Maintain daily schedules routines and transitions that support childrens learning and well being. • Foster a cooperative respectful and professional classroom culture. • Follow all licensing health and safety regulations including child-staff ratios. • Build positive professional relationships with colleagues children and families based on trust and open communication. • Demonstrate knowledge of early childhood education best practices and remain current through ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications - Experience Education Knowledge & Skills • Must be at least 18 years of age. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of one years experience working in a licensed early childhood or preschool setting OR an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field OR a CDA credential. • Current AdultInfantChild CPR and First Aid certification. • Proof of required immunizations e.g. Tdap MMR.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience Education Knowledge & Skills • Coursework or credential in early childhood education • Knowledge of state licensing regulations and early childhood quality standards. • Child Development Associate certificate
The Successful Candidate Will • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Be open to ideas from others and work collaboratively. • Active involvement in the child care licensing process and collaboration with state agencies. • Occasional evening or weekend hours for meetings training or facility planning. • Commitment to high-quality inclusive developmentally appropriate early education practices.
Special Requirements
Physical Demands • Ability to stand walk bend and sit on the floor for extended periods. • Ability to lift and carry children or classroom materials up to approximately 40 pounds. • Ability to respond quickly to children in emergency situations.
