Job Description:

Early-Stage Solar Engineering & Construction (E&C) PM

Location: Juno Beach, Florida (Onsite)

Role Overview

You will work for a large renewable construction company, functioning with a high degree of independence as business and project support in collaboration with the Solar Regional Lead Project Manager. This role is responsible for taking ownership of and actively managing a portfolio of assigned Solar projects through the Early-Stage processes, including Screening, Diligencing, and Early-Stage Pipeline management, in preparation for handover to Late-Stage Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary manager for a portfolio of solar projects, guiding them from screening and diligence through the early-stage pipeline to prepare them for late-stage execution.
  • Leverage technical, commercial, and financial expertise to support and guide the broader team toward overall project and business unit targets.
  • Analyze technical and financial data to identify variables, indicators, and trends, integrating broader market impacts into the project portfolio.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned solar projects, ensuring technical feasibility, appropriate scheduling, commercial support, and financial viability.
  • Provide development and permitting support, coordinate with subject matter experts, facilitate engineering, and actively engage in problem resolution.
  • Develop a viable construction plan and schedule, negotiate and execute commercial contracts, and investigate optimization opportunities.
  • Create, own, and actively manage individual solar project capital budgets, balancing variances across the entire portfolio.
  • Engage with various software applications to support activities, manage critical data and deliverables, and report on key indicators.
  • Support the larger Early-Stage team with process, tool, and training initiatives.
  • Communicate and interface with executive leadership, suppliers, regulatory agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering.

Experience: 6 to 10 years of experience managing engineering and construction projects with responsibility for budget oversight and execution. Project Management experience is required.

Skills: A strong financial and data analysis skillset is necessary. Candidates must have mechanical awareness or an interest in technical variables, be highly organized, and possess a proactive attitude. The role requires the ability to manage a fast-paced environment and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction, Energy Industry, and/or Solar experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Work Environment

A relocation package is available for this position in Juno Beach. Driving will be required as part of the positions duties, and a valid drivers license with a clean record is necessary.
