Qualifications:
- 48 semester hours which include core courses with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from accredited institution; OR
- Associate Degree or higher with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; OR
- WorkKeys testing in Math - (min score 4); Reading - (min score 4); and Writing - (min score 3).
- Obtain and maintain bus license
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Job Coaches will follow all RSS and individual school's policies and procedures
- Job Coaches will log and maintain all Community Based Training hours and assist with Competitive Paid employment for all OCS students at their school
- Job Coaches will collect and assist in maintaining all school based hours from the OCS preparation and OCS preparation lab teacher according to schedules dates
- Job Coaches will communicate student's performance on Community Bases Training sites and the accrued number of hours to OCS classroom teacher weekly to assist with calculating OCS student's grades
- Job Coaches will contact and arrange appropriate community based training work sites in the community
- Job Coaches will secure vocational training agreements with all community-based training and the school's principal and provide EC Program Specialist with a copy
- Job Coaches will teach job expectations to students prior to starting any community-based training site
- Job Coaches will arrange transportation to and from all community based training sites in accordance with RSS and their school's policies and procedures
- Job coaches will maintain an OCS notebook that should include the following: Student/Teacher Contact sheet, Date sheet, CBT Packets, CBT Action Plans, Competitive employment Hours and documentation, CBT weekly evaluation and Competitive paid employment hours and documentation
- Job Coaches will attend scheduled job coach support meetings
- Job Coaches will attend schedules job coach support meetings
- Job Coaches will complete progress reports for each OCS student and distribute to parents and students tow time a quarter (Mid-Quarter Progress Report and with Report Cards)
- Job Coaches will complete a community-based training job site with an employer survey at the end of each remember or when a decision has been made to cease with a particular job site
- Job Coaches will provide each OCS student with a community-based training job evaluation at the end of each quarter. Job coaches need to provide copies to EC staff point person to place in student's OCS career portfolio
- Job Coaches will complete and return to the EC graduation coach a Justification document for each student who graduates with a certificate
- Job Coaches will perform any additional clerical duties as needed
- Job Coaches will assist in monitoring student behavior on a daily basis
- Job Coaches will distribute and collect all student packets regarding community-based training
- Job Coaches will communicate OCS student's strengths and weaknesses to OCS preparation and OCS preparation Lab teachers
- Job Coaches will communicate with EC Department Chair and/or Compliance participating CBT and share with OCS Teacher
- Job Coaches will provide instruction, evaluations and the appropriate assistance with the OCS student's career portfolio
