EC Interpreter Job Description

EC interpreter's responsibilities include the following:

• Be fluent in English and Spanish
• Translate written communication from EC staff to parents
• Provide live oral interpretation during various types of IEP meetings
• Interpret messages sent by parents to the EC staff within the school setting
• Assist EC staff with phone contacts to schedule IEP meetings
• Maintain strict privacy regarding student records, family information, and disability diagnoses

Educational Requirement:

• High school diploma

Other Requirement:

• Hold NC Drivers License
