We are seeking an Echo Cardiographer for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? (Monday-Friday 4 10hr Shifts 7A-5:30P/Rotating Evening/Weekend on call from 5:30P-7A)

Job Summary and Qualifications

Produces recordings of electromotive in patient's heart muscle, using electrocardiograph (ECG), to provide date for diagnosis of heart ailments. Ultrasound/Echocardiography: Population Served (All Ages) Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Cardiac/cardiovascular, and diseases including but not limited to: Cardiac valve(s) stenosis/insufficiency, carotid stenosis, and other cardiac conditions. Will lead the process for initial and ongoing accreditations such as ICAEL or other society. Also will be the department resource for ongoing compliance monitoring. The goal will be the obtain and maintain acceptable standards for accreditation and educate other staff as indicated on performance improvement opportunities and compliance.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will be responsible for the accurate performance and coordination of various procedures in the Echocardiology Department, which includes Echocardiograms, vascular work, transesophageal echo, pacemaker analysis and exercise echo
  • You will perform two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings for diagnosis of cardiac disease.
  • You must have a working knowledge of stress testing and as it relates to the Echocardiology department. Either exercise stress or pharmacological stress
  • You will participate in PI activities.
  • You will assist with stress testing and other non-invasive cardio diagnostic testing.
  • You will assist with other non-invasive cardo diagnostic testing. 
What qualifications will you need:
  • Degree in ultrasound technology (Cardiac sonography preferred)
  • 3-5 years experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required 
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer
