Position Overview:
We are seeking an Echo Technologist for an exciting Contract opportunity in Chatham, MA. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality echocardiograms, obtain diagnostic cardiac ultrasound images, and provide exceptional patient care while supporting accurate physician interpretation.
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality echocardiograms using 2-D, M-mode, Pulse Wave, Continuous Wave, and Color Doppler techniques.
Obtain patient history, assess clinical information, and position patients appropriately for cardiac ultrasound examinations.
Perform routine measurements and hemodynamic calculations related to cardiac pathology.
Prepare preliminary interpretations for physician review when appropriate.
Perform emergency echocardiography studies as required.
Maintain accurate echo laboratory records, patient charges, and departmental documentation.
Ensure echocardiography equipment and examination rooms are cleaned, stocked, and maintained after each patient.
Assess and provide age-appropriate patient care while adapting techniques to individual patient needs and clinical conditions.
Follow established Echo Lab protocols, infection control practices, and quality standards.
Participate in continuing education, mandatory training, and departmental quality improvement initiatives while delivering exceptional patient service.
Required Qualifications
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required.
Registry certification, including 946 hours (6 months) of advanced training in Cardiac Ultrasound, required.
Previous Echocardiography experience required.
Current CPR Certification required.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in cardiac ultrasound procedures.
Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
