Location:Nashville, TN

Facility:Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown, West, Rutherford, River Park and Westlawn

Department:  Echocardiography Float Pool

Schedule: Day Shift | Full-time

What You Will Do:
  • Capture high-fidelity diagnostic images of cardiac structures and hemodynamics to provide physicians with the critical data needed for life-saving diagnoses.

  • Navigate advanced imaging technology and manual techniques to identify subtle pathologies, ensuring every study meets the highest clinical and regulatory standards.

  • Consult as a technical expert by recognizing significant anatomical findings and equipment limitations, ensuring the most accurate and actionable results for every patient.

  • Champion patient safety and data integrity by maintaining rigorous quality control and ensuring all digital records (PACS) are precise, clear, and complete.

  • Coordinate the end-to-end imaging experience—from patient positioning to final documentation—to provide a seamless, professional, and compassionate journey for those in our care.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

 

Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
    degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
